  • FiberPrint™ Technology is a unique identification system built directly into Repreve fibers. A small, performance-neutral marker is added during production, allowing each fiber to be traced back to its source, which gives brands and customers confidence in the authenticity of recycled materials and a clearer picture of how their garments are made.

  • U Trust® Verification. The U Trust® program ensures complete transparency throughout the lifecycle of Repreve-based products. It provides a way to confirm the origin of materials and how they were processed, helping consumers feel confident in the sustainability claims behind what they buy.

  • GOTS certification (Global Organic Textile Standard) is the benchmark standard that guarantees a textile product is genuinely organic, from the farm to the final item, while also meeting strict environmental and social criteria.

No Compromise on Safety or Sustainability

Certifications

  • Global Recycling Standard (GRS): is a leading certification for textiles that are organically grown and processed. It signifies that products meet strict environmental and social criteria, including prohibitions on harmful chemicals and GMOs, and the enforcement of fair labor practices throughout the supply chain.

  • OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100:  is a label for textiles tested for harmful substances. It sets the benchmark for textile safety, from yarn to finished product. Every item bearing the STANDARD 100 label has been certified to have passed safety tests for harmful substances and is safe for human health.

All ALCIMA pieces are packed in 100% biodegradable bags that decompose in landfills within 3-6 months.

REPREVE®

Recycled Polyester

Organic Cotton

Better fabrics mean better wear. We use organic cotton, recycled polyester, and Creora Power-Fit for comfort, performance, and REPREVE® for sustainability.

Creora Power-Fit

Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, or GMO seeds, and uses sustainable farming methods that build soil health and conserve water. This approach leads to less pollution, better biodiversity, and a reduced carbon footprint compared to conventional cotton, which relies heavily on harsh chemicals.

Organic Cotton

Key Benefits of Organic Cotton:

Healthier ecosystems: It prevents the use of toxic synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, which protects the soil, air, and water. This also supports a greater diversity of insects, birds, and soil microbes.
Water conservation: Organic farming practices, such as collecting rainwater and building healthier soil, use significantly less water than conventional cotton farming.

Chemical-free processing: The processing, dyeing, and finishing of organic cotton use non-toxic methods, making it safer for both the environment and people.

Safer for farmers: It eliminates the health risks associated with pesticide exposure that farmers face when growing conventional cotton.

Better for skin: The final product is often softer, more breathable, and hypoallergenic, making it ideal for people with sensitive skin or allergies.

Recycled polyester is a synthetic fabric made from plastic bottles and other waste, created by shredding, melting, and reforming the plastic into new fibers offers similar properties to virgin polyester—durability, wrinkle resistance, and quick-drying capabilities—while significantly reducing energy consumption, water use, and carbon emissions compared to its virgin counterpart. Recycled polyester tackles the plastic problem smartly by turning old plastics into new fabric and reducing the need for petroleum. It also means less trash in landfills and oceans.

Recycled Polyester

Key Benefits of Recycled Polyester:

Waste reduction: is made from recycled plastic bottles, diverting waste from landfills and oceans.

Lower energy consumption: The production of recycled polyester requires significantly less energy than the production of virgin polyester.

CREORA PowerFit spandex provides high power and excellent heat resistance engineered to maintain fabric’s high stretch and recovery even setting at high temperature. It is engineered to provide superior shaping and compression.

Creora Power-Fit

Repreve polyester is made of post-consumer waste, like bottles, are recycled and collected. The recycled items are washed and broken down into flakes. The flakes are melted into resin, during which FiberPrint™ traceability is added. The resin is then melted and spun into polyester fiber.

Repreve nylon is made of pre-consumer waste, like carpet, is collected. The waste is converted and reformulated into a quality Repreve nylon. FiberPrint™ technology is added to the nylon chips, referred to as Repreve Nylon chip 6. The chips are melted and spun into nylon fiber.

REPREVE®

Environmental Benefits Of REPREVE®

Consumers are becoming increasingly purpose-driven and like having socially-responsible options, including with their fabrics. With an environmental mission, Repreve helps:

  • Reduce plastic pollution and water use by reusing materials
  • Improve air quality by avoiding CO2 emissions
  • Pursue zero waste-to-landfill by owning all operations

The Importance Sustainability

Social Justice

On the social front, sustainable activewear prioritizes ethical practices throughout their supply chains. This commitment ensures that workers involved in the production process receive fair wages and operate in safe, healthy working conditions. By supporting these ethical standards, consumers contribute to the improvement of working conditions in garment-producing communities worldwide. Ultimately, choosing sustainable activewear not only benefits the environment but also promotes social justice and supports a more equitable global apparel industry.

Environmental

From an environmental perspective, these garments contribute to a reduced ecological footprint. By using eco-friendly materials, sustainable activewear production minimizes greenhouse gas emissions and conserves valuable resources. The materials used are recycled or biodegradable, reducing waste and lessening the burden on landfills.
